Xaviera is your basic girl, well not really, besides being a royal she also has the power to control the elements. Their town or as they call it, Unit has its own set of rules. They can go outside, but they keep the outsiders out. Since birth, she has been teamed up with a controller and a protector. On their 20th birthdays their families choose who they will be matched with. But when the matches start happening and Xaviera is paired with her friends dream match, Thaddeus, jealousy starts to rear its ugly head. With only 3 months to decided if the match will work, Xaviera and Thaddeus have a lot to work through. But when secrets are revealed can they ride the storm out or will their dreams be washed away.

LOVE IT!!! Mary has knocked the ball out of the park with this one! Certain aspects of paranormal have been overdone. Mary has taken a new angle on it though and it's awesome! I will give away one *small* spoiler, and that is that this book end in a BIG cliffhanger. However, don't allow that to detour you from reading this fabulous book, because April 10th A Protector's Second Chance (Unit Matched Book 2) will be out!! A Royal's Love will have you laughing, gasping and crying and is most definitely a MUST read!

Today is my birthday.
Today is my twentieth
birthday.
Today is the day I
meet my Matched.
Those were my first
thoughts as I opened my eyes. Then, I needed to throw up.
I raced to my bathroom
and became sick. I kept my head in the toilet until I felt a cold wash cloth on
the back of my neck and hear my mother laughing at me.
“Well, it seems
strange, but twenty three years ago I was in the same position when I was about
to meet my Matched,” Mom joked.
“I think I’m dying.” I
breathe out lifting my head.
“I doubt it, my dear.”
Mom rolled her eyes at me, helped me get to my feet and led me to the sink.
I brush my teeth and
wash my face trying to regain my senses.
